Obituary for Lora Mae Sisco (Inman)

Lora Mae Sisco, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Houston, Texas surrounded by her family. One of seven children, Lora was born in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, on September 27, 1941 to the late Alwilda and George Inman. Her life changed after meeting Robert Sisco while he was stationed in New Jersey on the Army Base. They married in 1958 and lived happily together in Oklahoma for twenty years.
Lora raised her children, tended to all the family’s animals and worked as store manager at Furr’s Cafeteria. Upon her retirement, she moved to Katy, Texas to be closer to her family. She was committed to her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She also loved to volunteer at her church, always willing to help with anything.
Lora was preceded in death by her sister, Mary and brothers, Eddie, Tommy, and Bobby. She is survived by her three children, Diana Sisco of Katy, Donna Farr of Katy, and Robert Sisco of Oklahoma; her brothers, David Inman and Bill Inman both of New Jersey; four grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Lora’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Grace Fellowship, 2655 S. Mason Rd., Katy, Texas 77450. Gifts, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Citizens for Animal Protection at www.cap4pets.org/
