Obituary for Bertie Pearl Jayroe

Pearl Gorman Jayroe passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2020 and is now with the Lord. She was born in Donna, Tx on July 16, 1937 to George and Ollie Pearl Gorman.

Pearl’s biggest joy was her family she love to watch after her grandkids, listen to her old school county music, feeding the wild birds and squirresl and to travel around sightseeing. Her favorite sight were the bluebonnets in Chapel Hill when they bloomed. She never met a stranger, everyone who meet her called her Grandma Pearl.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Q. Jayroe, son Johnnie Jr, grandson Johnnie III, her father George Gorman, mother Ollie Pearl Senning, brother George Gorman, and other siblings.
Pearl is survived by he son Albert Jayroe and wife Kelley of La Porte, TX, daughter’s Sheila Villarreal and husband Sotero of Houston, Tx, Jackie Nichols and boyfriend Danny Brown of Houston, Tx, 10 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, 9 great grandsons, 11 great granddaughters, 3 grand goddaughters. Brother Vyron Carpenter of Weatherford, Tx, Pat Senning of Surry, Tx, sister Iram Irwin of Copperas Cove, Tx. And many nieces and nephews whom she loves very much.

Many special thanks to the ones who sat with her, talked to her and kept her safe: Donna Garcia, Cyndi Garcia, Fred Garcia, Molley, Linda, Rosie, Elvira, Monique and Danny for all he did the past 3 years. Thank you all so much, she was happy and safe.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, the 14th of August, at Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
