Obituary for Beverly Marie Ferguson (Mack)

Our beloved mother, Beverly Marie Ferguson entered into God’s kingdom on April 29th, 2022 at the age of 83 in her home with her caregiver (daughter) Cheryl after a long battle with cerebrovascular disease.

Now that Beverly has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Beverly’s physical life on Earth, it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.

On January 15, 1939 Beverly Marie Ferguson was born to the union of Thomas Mack Sr., and Maugery Pierre Mack, (Jones), in Charity Hospital New Orleans, LA.

At the age of 13, Beverly moved from New Orleans, LA to Farrell, PA where she attended school. Beverly was a foster parent to many children and worked in retail. Additionally, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sharon General Hospital. Beverly was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Farrell, PA for over 40 years. In 2005, Beverly felt the need to return back to her birthplace. She moved to Houston, TX after surviving Hurricane Katrina where she remained.

Beverly joins her ancestors in Heaven. She is survived by her three children, Frederick McCormick, Deborah D. McCormick – Owens, and Cheryl D. McCormick – Martin and Godson, Dennis Rucker. Two stepchildren; Kelly and Michelle Ferguson also, three very special adopted daughters and son; Stacey Wilson (Dwayne A.K.A. “Boyfriend”), Yvonne Lott and, Tonnette “Toni” Lopez. Three sisters, Brenda Jones, Verlene Golden (Gregory) and Janet Green (Robert); seven brothers, Terry Jones, Gregory, Fredrick (Sharon), Kenneth, Brian, Keith (Alma), and Edward Davis. Additionally, she leaves behind many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and her wonderful neighbors Harrison Johnson, Leroy Fair, Jr., and Mary Simon who was always there, no matter the day or time.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Mack, Sr., and Maugery Pierre, Mack (Jones), her former husband John Pierce and deceased husband, Arthur Ferguson. Two Stepchildren; Terry and Patrick Ferguson. A host of relatives and friends.
