Obituary for Charles Payton Holland

Charles Payton Holland, also known as "Bubby" and "Charlie," passed away on August 15th, 2020 in Katy, Tx. He was born the 4th of July 1989 in Humble, Tx to Larry Dean Holland Jr and Tracey Diane Pope.

He Graduated from Cleveland High school in 2007 and attended Power House Christian Center.

Charlie was a gamer specializing in Role Playing Games (RPG). He enjoyed carpentry and loved making wooden crosses. He loved music and playing his guitar. He was a very fun loving man who loved God, his family, and his few close friends. Charlie was one of a kind, he had a goofy sense of humor that could keep you laughing for hours.

Charlie is preceded in death by grandfather, Payton Charles Harvey of Elgin, Tx; grandfather, Larry Dean Holland Sr. of San Antonio, Tx and grandmother, Elizabeth Ruth Ferguson of Shepherd, Tx.

He is survived by mother, Tracey Diane Pope of Brookshire, Tx; father, Larry Dean Holland Jr and stepmother, Shaun Holland of Shepherd, Tx; grandmother, Patricia Ann Harvey of Houston, Tx; grandmother, Mary Gatling of Shepherd, Tx; grandfather, Jerry Ferguson of Shepherd, Tx; sister, Jasmine Elaine McCormick and husband, Justin Francois McCormick; nephew, De'Sean Jimoh Adegbie; niece, De'Morah Payton Adegbie of Houston, Tx; sister, Mary Holland; niece, Jordyn McMahan of Houston, Tx; sister, Layla Holland of Shepherd, Tx. He is also survived by countless aunts uncles and cousins.

We would like to express our deep gratitude for everyone who has shown love and support either by calling, praying for us and those who donated toward the services. We would also like to thank A Sacred Choice Funeral Home for their support during this time.

A visitation will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 9th at Lindale Church, 503 Reid Street, with the funeral service to follow at 11 am. The family will gather for a graveside service at Woodlawn Garden of Memories located at 1101 Antoine in Houston.
