Obituary for John Salazar

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John Salazar Sr. of Houston on Friday, May 21st, at the age of 64 years. Those who knew him, John was a private man and the type of person that would never let anyone know if he was suffering or had any health issues. He went peacefully sitting in his favorite chair.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: John Salazar, Jason Salazar, JC Salazar, and Michelle Salazar; Grand children: Mia Salazar and Ava Salazar and numerous other family members and friends.

John was born August 1956 in Corpus Christi Texas. John always had a fascination with planes and building muscle cars. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he grew his passion for planes and was honorable discharged then eventually settled down in Houston Texas. To all his friends and family, he was always making jokes trying to make you laugh. He was strong when you needed him and was always willing to help someone in need. John worked tirelessly to provide for his family and made sure they had all they would need no matter the sacrifice. John enjoyed the simple things and loved to fish. He was affectionately known as the Master fisherman by his loved ones. John was eventually reunited with his first car, a 1970 Mustang. He spend hours working on his old horse. No matter it’s condition, it was his pride and joy.

It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home.
