Obituary for Kendall Van Giere

KENDALL VAN GIERE, 65, passed at 9:09 a.m. on November 16, 2020. He was born July 9, 1955 in Fairfield, Texas, the third child of John Henry Giere, Jr. and Mary Nell Whitworth Giere. A loving son, father of Jon Brandon Giere, Shaun Nicholas Giere and Haley Nicole Giere. Throughout Kendall’s life, his creative endeavors included community service through his church, musical theatre productions as an actor and singer, his most notable appearance at the Wortham Center (Houston, TX), the Kerrville Civic Auditorium and other notable venues; Professional entrepreneurial endeavors included print company, computer and IT services.

Kendall was preceded in death by daughter, Haley Nicole Giere; parents, John and Mary Nell Giere, great-nephew Micah Karl Traylor; cousins, Karen Faith Giere, Boyd Burnett Giere, Jr. and William Wayne McWha; He is survived by son, Jon Brandon Giere and wife, Jennifer Giere, of Spring, TX, grand daughter Alexis Paityn Giere; son, Shaun Nicholas Giere and wife, Meridith Giere, of Spring, TX, grandson Styhlor Drake Barnes and granddaughter Kyrah Nicole-Van Giere; by sister, Brenda Juanell Giere White and husband, H. Wayne White of Conroe, TX; niece Sarah McKinsey Jones and husband, Andrew Jones of The Woodlands, TX. and great- nephews Oliver Henry and Jack Cameron and great-niece Penelope Marie Jones; brother Karl Edward Giere and wife, M. Ellen Giere, and nephew Preston Nathaniel Giere of Fort Worth, TX; niece Amanda Joe Traylor and husband, Matthew Traylor, of The Woodlands, TX, and great-nephew Noah Wilson Traylor; great-nieces, Olivia Maude, and Sophia Corinne Traylor; nephew Joshua Karlton Giere and wife, Amber Giere, of Ft. Worth,
