Obituary for Ly Kosal Meng
Our family sadly lost our father, Ly Kosal Meng (aka Bun Thoeurn Bou) on Thursday 13 August 2020 in Houston, Texas. At the age of 64, he passed away in his home surrounded by family and loved ones after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Cambodia, he was the son of Mouth Bou (father) and Ourn Keo (mother). Our father had the perseverance to battle his cancer, doing whatever means necessary to provide for the family and lived life in a humble manner.
Our father was employed by the City of Houston (Department of Public Works and Engineering) for several years until it was decided to venture into entrepreneurship (a small business). Our father, along with our mother, previously owned a small bakery shop called Dina’s Donuts located in Houston, Texas. The fantastic duo was very successful, gained a large group of fans and devoted customers. Even after our father’s passing, his loyal customers continue to visit the shop while we were cleaning the bakery.
When he is not at the donut shop, our father was ecstatic about fishing, enjoyed spending time with his family and loved eating different types of cuisine. He appreciated the various flavors in the array of dishes where he had the opportunity to taste.
Our father is survived by our mother (Sotheary Lim) and his two daughters (Sereyna Graf and Bebe Rodriguez). His family and loved ones miss him dearly. Although, times were tough with all of the battles he had to endure throughout his life – He always made sure we were loved and cared for to the best of his abilities. Our father will forever be in our hearts. We will always love him dearly.
