Obituary for Madonna Maria French (Gehay)
Madonna Maria Gehay French, 75, daughter of the late John and June Gehay of Enid, Oklahoma rejoined the love of her life on August 20, 2022.
Jimmy Ray French was called beyond this world in 2001, though Madonna continued to live every day for Him and once again they are together.
Madonna wore seasonal costumes to work on major holidays and made excellent Fruitcake. Resplendent and all weathered, whether an employer or customer she was the person you hoped to have on your side. For the anguished she was the soft shoulder and ready ear. The threatened knew her only as a safe space before any such term were coined. The good Lord made her so everyone would have a friend; for us she was also Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and simply, Mom.
Mom is survived by her daughters, Sherry and David Baldwin of Friona, Texas and Donna and David Duncan of Spring, Texas. Her Grandchildren Zachary and Tracy Duncan of Waco, Texas, Ezekiel and Carla Duncan of Denton, Texas, and David Duncan of Haystack, Virginia and three amazing Great Grandchildren: Dougie, Olivia, and Connor.
A memorial service will follow with date and time to be determined.
