Obituary for Matthew Alan Guidry
On November 21, 2022, Matthew Alan Guidry a father, brother, uncle and cousin, entered the Lord’s kingdom at the age of 57. Matt was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 16, 1965 to Judy Angenend Guidry and J. Paul Guidry. He spent most of his life in the Houston and Austin area.
Matt was an entertainer by heart and was loved by so many. He was an amazing vocalist, and he was an absolute walking encyclopedia of Rock-N- Roll, and Soul music. Matt also loved food as well as almost every person he ever met! Matt attended Cy Fair High School, and he was a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. Matt was a lifelong Catholic and was a member of St. Ignatius in Austin, St. Cyril in Houston and St. John Vianney. His mother, Judy Angenend, precedes him in death.
Left to treasure his memory are his daughter, Anna Gabriella and his son, Matthew Christopher; former wife, Mellissa Guidry; father, Paul Guidry and wife, Linda; two brothers, Kenneth Guidry and wife, Pamela, Danny Guidry; sister, Lora Hansen and husband, Blake; and many nieces and nephews.
