Ray Sullivan, also known as “Uncle Ray” passed away June 4, 2020 in Houston, Texas next to his loving family. He was born June 18, 1934 in Waelder, Texas to Artis and Octavia Sullivan.

Ray Sullivan went to school in Waelder, Texas and later moved to Houston where his General Contractor, and entrepreneurial career began. Uncle Ray understood the value of family and he made it his business to attend every family gathering along with all his children. Ray was also known for his love of fashion. He blended style, authority, and touched many lives with his self confidence and motivation. They say every picture tells a story… but sometimes it is hard to know what story is being told. Ray created those memories and he knew how to cherish a legacy album. His fashionable attire, photogenic poses, strong minded and his smooth personality will forever live in our hearts.

Ray Sullivan is preceded in death by his (mother) Octavia, (father) Artis Sullivan, siblings: (Sisters) Novella, Lessie Vea, Artie Mae, Mary Lou: (brothers) Ellis, Herman, Adolph, Aricey, Artis Jr and his lovely daughter Doris.

Ray will be survived and fondly remembered by his sisters Robbie & Brother in Law (Robert)-San Antonio, Wilma- Houston , Winnie & Brother in law (Leonard) -Bryan, Brother- George & sister in law (Novella)- Wealder. He is also survived by his children Mary B. & Son In law (David)- San Antonio, Tommy L. -Houston, Linda B. & Son in Law (Edgar) Houston, Andrew B. – Houston, Marilyn B. – Houston, Nicole B.-Houston, Nelson and Rita B. -Houston, Michael H. -Houston, Teresa S-H. & Son- In Law (Brandon) – Houston, and Puneisha G.-Houston, He will be forever remembered by his 20 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation Saturday, the 13th of June at 10 am at O’Bannon Funeral Home, 21- S. Laurel Avenue in Luling, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
A private burial will take place at Ebbon Cemetery in Luling, Texas.
