Obituary for Socorro Mendoza "Coco" Orta
Socorro (Coco) Mendoza Orta was born April 2, 1964 and passed on May 20, 2020.
Coco was predeceased by her father Pedro Mendoza Sr. and mother Eva Castillo Hernandez, step-father Gilbert Hernandez, brother Jesse Mendoza. She is survived by her son David Orta Jr., wife Mary and granddaughter Catherine (Dallas, TX), siblings – brothers Rudy & wife Dolores, Peter Mendoza Jr., Jose Mendoza, Jimmy Hernandez, sisters – Sofia Mendoza, Lupe Mendoza, Carmen Hernandez husband Paul, Beatrice Hodgson husband Troy, 4 nieces, 13 nephews and an abundance of great nieces and nephews.
Coco was a nurturing, caring and loving person to her “whole” family. Family was her number one priority, caring for her granddaughter, nieces and nephews was a huge part of her life. She will be missed by all who loved her.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 from 11 am to 2:30 pm at A Sacred Choice, 4740 Dacoma, Ste. A, Houston, TX 77092.
